Hey guys!
Just a quick update on the last two weeks of ignite!
A couple weeks ago we had Bama doing a Behind the Music. (more details posted soon) We didn't have time to have a Hot Seat but never fear it will be back after Easter Break. We focused the night on Silence and being alone with God we watched a Nooma 13minute video which I thought really made a point about how full of noise our lives our and how we never get to listen for the quiet gentle voice of God. So we had about 5 different stations where we got to reflect and be silent. The section I liked most ( or affected me most) was the Passion playing on the laptop next to the cross. That movie gets me every time. I thought it went well.
Anywho Last week we had starbucks Jam Night which was very chilled until the emo boys starting screaming the "ever so sweet" tunes of The Early November. We also had two versions of a Taking Back Sunday song and a rather special two guitar acoustic Quiet Things That no one Ever Knows by Brand New. Always a good night. Andy learned a classic piano tune by Straylight Run on the guitar. We also had Aidan showing some skills with some Jimmy Eat World. Lindsey took the pictures the last two weeks so, I will post them once I get them from her!
Cheers guys! Hope you see you after Spring Break!

Jesus Anger : Righteous Anger

Hey guys! So last night was ggrrreat! We had a come amazing chats with the Co-ed Bible discussion group before Ignite at the collossians study at starbucks. Was pretty sweet! also this picture is awesome its like a cd picture..Glorious!
Last night we unfortunately didn't have a Behind The Music, however we are lucky to have one of our own Crothers Twins on the hot seat.... And yes.. Longer hair longer name Siobahn was our Hot Seat Victim! Next week we hope to see Megen to see if really they are sow different. More about her Hot Seat experience later when Andy updates this post.
The theme last night was ANGER and how God never said You should not be angry as a commandment, he only said not to sin while Angry. We discussed the different types of Anger including the Jesus anger : Righteous Anger. Using that anger to fight the good fight (peoples rights, justice etc.) We also discussed the three points on how to get rid of the anger we might have against a person or a group. 1) Admit that your angry 2) Talk to the person/ group 3) Think of a solution to the problem. Why are you really angry?

We also have the indepth review for Aidan's Behind the Music featuring Number One Gun! Aidan gave **** to the album titled 'Promises For The Imperfect'. He picked the song Fireside Wing, and selected some key lyrics from the song 'This world may tell me not to turn it all the way, It's the last thin I need cause you're better anyway, and you're not what I've heard about But you're so what I need'
Aidan linked the lyrics to a couple of verses:
JOHN 14:6 ' I am the way the truth and the life..'
2 CORINTHIANS 12:9-10 ' Each time he said ' My grace is all your need. My power works best in weakness.' So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses and in my insults, hardships, persecution, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. From when I am weak, Then I am Strong.'

Hope I get to see all of you tonight at ignite!
God Bless!

" I'm on fire buring out this mystery.."

Hey guys this is Brittany basically I forgot my camera on Tuesday so... No photos this week but on Tuesday will get a picture of Nicole with the behind the music (even though unfortunately she was sick and Austin filled in for her) and Chris Carrier on the hot seat. So if you weren't there this is what your missed!

The Hot Seat: As mentioned before we had the great Chris Carrier on our plastic yellow excuse for a chair LOL. We learnt that Chris love long walks on the beach and enjoys a good book on a rainy day.... haha not really lol. We learnt that he prefers smooth to chunky peanut butter, American football to rugby, acoustic to electric, and outback to nandos. Chris like both blondes and brunettes, Paul the apostle to john the Baptist, and prefers boxers to tighty whiteys. He gives mad props to Jesus for the walking on the water miracle, and has been a Christian for 2 years. God has blessed Chris with family and friends. Cheers Chris :D

Behind the Music: Also mentioned before that Nicole was sick so her stand in Austin Dobbs presented her behind the music review. Artist: Switchfoot Album: The Beautiful Letdown. She was torn between two songs. First being Dare You To Move, " Which is about daring people to move , and be active in their faith and not just passive Christians" She link the song to a verse in Philemon 1:6 " I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ." however she noted that, the song was over played so she picked On Fire. "On fire is most suitable for ignite, it explains that passion for living clearly comes from an intimate encounter with a 'you' outside of yourself, possibly romantic but more probably God."

Andy talked about Belief versus Faith. More on that soon today :D

I promise I will get pictures next time... My bad!:S

>The Ultimate Event is coming up! I will send and email to those who are interested in going we will need the money for it by the end of March it will be £30 plus travel and food/ games money. If we get enough going we will rent a mini bus and drive up together ( that would be awesome!)
